Gunawardane; her daughters, Ruwanthi and Nilanthi; her sons-in-law, Jason and Panduka; her grandchildren, Suvini and Pasan; her sister Lalitha Ariyasinghe; and her brother-in-law Pulatisi Guruge. She is also survived by many extended family members, friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Dr. Rani Gunawardana's memory to charitable organizations in Sri Lanka that support children's health, education, or medical care.
