She was predeceased by: her parents, Fane F. Vawter and Mildred E. Vawter (Neale); her husband Paul Robert Smith; her brother Fane F. Vawter, Jr.; and her nephew Robert Vawter.

She is survived by: her son Randy Smith (Tupou) of San José, CA; her granddaughter Elizabeth Fakava of San José; and her great grandchildren, Sean, Keilani, Kendale, Jr. and Fakava. She is also survived by other family members and friends.
