He was predeceased by: his parents, Steve and Margaret; his sister Stephie; his wife Marjorie; his son Lee; and his granddaughter Joycelyn.

He is survived by: his sisters, Audrey and Kathy; his son Steve (Teri); and his grandchildren, Kelsey and Eric.

Later, he served as chairman of a local charity, OPARC, which provided opportunities for developmentally disabled adults to reach their full potential.
