He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Charles Russell Ewing and Dorothy Lucille Smith; his wife Miss Judy Moses; his children, Charles Jr. (Leslie) of Vacaville and Katy Cava (Matt) of Salinas; his sister Joan Ewing Nickels (Tom) of Virginia; his nephew Doug of Florida; and his brother Jim Ewing (Su) of New York. He was also cherished by seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
