Teri Raski wrote a sympathy message

“My husband Paul and I were saddened to hear about the loss of Earlene, my mother's roommate at the Vacaville Convalescent Home for a few years. Earlene was a very kind person, and always compassionate towards others. Earlene had an infectious giggle whenever I would come to visit with our little dog Lasea. Earlene and others had a difficult time remembering our little Border Collie's name so one day said "oh, my, may I just call her Sugar?" :) Lasea was immediately drawn to Earlene as well as Earlene to her. Earlene was always hospitable and friendly, and many times offered me, my mother and others a chocolate kiss whenever she came into contact. We do not remember her complaining or murmuring, but many times voiced concern when my mother had a hard time sleeping. Earlene regularly attended out church services at the VCRC at 2 and always said she was thankful for the opportunity to come to worship with us. Earlene will be greatly missed by many and I personally have shed tears missing this special lady. Earlene and I would visit often when my mother was sleeping or times when she was "in another zone with her dementia", and I will miss our times together. May the Lord comfort and keep the MacGinty family during this time, and may each member draw close to the Lord.
