With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Oliver James Smith of Valley Center, California, born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 7, 2025 at the age of 72. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Smith and Minnie Smith; his brother Dale; and his stepson Clinton Holland. He is survived by: his wife Janice; his brothers, Roger, Brian and Cameron; his sons, Matthew and Logan; his stepchildren, Travis Holland and Amanda Peale; and his grandchildren, Alex, Katie, Harley, Trinity, Zoe and Daniel.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 at 3:00 PM and at 4:00 PM at the Promise Church (2427 S Centre City Pkwy, Escondido, CA 92025).
