He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Sylvia Smales (Melegaris) and George G. Smales; his sisters, Sophia Smales Margetis of Van Nuys, CA, Colette Smales of Warren and Tina Smales Bails of Canonsburg, PA.; Sylvia Smales (Melegaris). He was also cherished by nieces, nephews and numerous cousins.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Gust's name to the American Heart Association.
