She was predeceased by: her parents, Medrick Amar and Marguarite Amar; and her siblings, Charles Amar, Alphonse Amar, Byron Amar, Margret Howze and Carolyn Dowl.
She is survived by: her sons, Maurice Journet (Robin) of Port Hueneme, CA. and Lenny Lamar Coleman (Denise) of Port Hueneme, CA.; and her sisters, Joann Sanders of Las Vegas, NV and Paulette Amar-Buck (Curt) of Ventura, CA.. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, one great-grandchild.
