It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Danette Marie Lopez of Ventura, California, who passed away on May 11, 2026, at the age of 65, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Gutierrez and Rebecca Sanchez; her in-laws, Leon and Socorro Lopez; her sister Loraine Castro; and her brothers-in-law, Henry Castro and Juan Antonio "Chepe" Lopez.
She is survived by: her husband Mario Lopez; her children, Michael Lopez (Priscilla) and Michelle Molina (Daniel); her grandchildren, Ryden, James, Audrianna, Treysen, Levi and Kane; her sister Rosemary Lowry; and her siblings-in-law, Randy Lowry, Gonzalo Lopez (Oliva), Hector Lopez (Rosa), Leon Lopez (Silvia), Letty Vaivao (JJ), Tonia Arias (Jose) and Maria Thayer (Rick). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the National Ataxia Foundation.
