It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Laurence Distin (Ventura, California), born in Syracuse, New York, who passed away on January 29, 2019, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Distin and Ethel Rear Distin; his siblings, Laura, Shirley, Betty and Bob; his nephew Phill Tomeny; his niece Barbara Ludlow; his great-niece Michelle Ludlow; and his nephew Roy Peebles.

He is survived by: his former wife Janet McEgan; his spouse Vivian Liberto Cash; his children, Rosanne, Kathy, Cindy, Tara, Kym, Tracy (Anne), Todd and Brandy Anderson; his stepdaughters, Kymberle Carlson and Heidi Miller; his grandchildren, Sean Distin, Crystal and Amber Anderson; his great grandchild Averie Distin; and his stepgrandsons, Spencer Kurisu, Lukas and Drake Miller.

Dick's favorite colors were black and red so please feel free to wear those colors to honor him.The family wishes that in lieu of flowers a donation to a be made in Dick's honor.
