She is survived by: her husband Larry; her children, Steve Tanio (Tani), Melanie Freeman (Ray), Nadine Tanio Ebesu (Glen) and Brian Tanio; her siblings, Annemie Gruber, Elisabeth Gutzeit and Kurt Echter (Edith); her grandchildren, Aubrey Davis (Brad), Evan Madsen, Emily Madsen, Isaac Ebesu, Katy Tanio, Heck Tanio, Joey Meyer, Justine Meyer and Jaymee Meyer; and her great grandchildren, Gabriel Davis and Fiona Davis.
In lieu of flowers, Romi's charity of choice is Donna Lexa Art Centers, an inclusive art studio for people with disabilities and artists of all abilities.
