We are sad to announce that, on February 3, 2023, at the age of 93, Ruth Clara (Stevenson) Hummel (Vista, California) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Horace D. Hummel; her parents, Duncan S. Stevenson and Esther Stevenson; her son Joel James (Stephanie); and her siblings, Elizabeth Bliese and Duncan S. Stevenson III.
She is survived by: her daughter Eve Irene of Renton, WA.; her siblings, Esther Peterson, Muriel Rothenbush, Grace Brauer, Alice Brackensick and James Stevenson; her grandsons, Joel Jr., Evan, Andrew and Richard; and her great grandchildren, Grant, Willow, Julia and Gentry.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be made to The American Montessori Society, New York, NY, the National Audubon Society through any of the local chapters or Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, Escondido, CA.
