It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Adrian Mendes (Walnut Creek, California), who passed away at the age of 96, on April 20, 2025. Though Adrian may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Adrian touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ermalinda Mendes and Joe Mendes; his brother Harold; and his wife Joan Palmer. He is survived by: his children, Sam (Susan), Lance (Kristin) and Elizabeth (John); and his sister-in-law Donna. He is also survived by five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Donations to The Rotary Foundation, in Adrian's memory, will help spread the exuberance that he held in his heart for Rotary International.
