He was predeceased by : his parents, Adam Diehl and Marguerite Diehl; and his brother Donald. He is survived by : his wife Darlene of Walnut Creek; his children, Diane Aceto (Robert) of Walnut Creek, Steven Diehl (Niessia) of Santa Rosa and David of Pleasant Hill; and his grandchildren, Jennifer Aceto, Amy Aceto, Kelven Diehl, William Diehl and Juliet Diehl.

The family requests that, in lieu of gifts, donations be made to Meals On Wheels or Canine Companions of Santa Rosa.
