He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Buford and Rendie Anita Sparks (Brooks); his uncle Curtis Brooks; and his former wife Laviena Bray Sparks. He is survived by: his wife Ruey-Ming Sparks; his sons, Colton Ray Sparks and Kelly Dane Sparks; and his granddaughters, Rendie Peterson (Jim) and Lauren Ashley Gates (Jordan).
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Fellowship Hall of Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church.
