Ann Lucille Backovich Obituary
We are sad to announce that on July 6, 2025, at the age of 91, Ann Lucille Backovich of Watsonville, California passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Ann Lucille farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Ann Lucille is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George Backovich and Lucielle (Strazicich); her aunts, Lena, Irene Strazicich of Watsonville and Angie Cumbelich (Strazicich); and her cousin John Cumbelich.
She is survived by: her sister Florence Cumbelich.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Mehl's Colonial Chapel (222 E Lake Ave, Watsonville, CA 95076). A rosary was held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 at 7:00 PM. A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Patrick's Catholic Church (721 Main St, Watsonville, CA 95076).
