He was predeceased by: his parents, Lily and Harold; and his sister Karen Hunter. He is survived by: his siblings, Aileen Schwab of Santa Cruz and Steven Soper (Cheryl) of Salinas. He is also survived by his cousins, nieces, and nephews.

He enjoyed sharing his homegrown fruits and vegetables, donating blood regularly, and deliciously cooking ducks he hunted in Los Baños.
