She was predeceased by: her brother Arthur Doten; and her parents, Richard Doten and Martha Doten. She is survived by: her nieces, Melissa, Hillary, Carmen, Stephanie and Martha; her sisters, Linda Andrada and Nancy Trevino; and her caregiver Regina (Nelson).
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Valley Public Cemetery (2445 E Lake Ave, Watsonville, CA 95076).
Prior to Janet's illness limiting her mobility, she had been an active member of the community donating her time coaching for PV Girls Softball, serving on County of SC Parks and Recs committee, and various political campaigns.
