It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marvin Curtis Epting Sr. of West Sacramento, California, born in Jackson, Mississippi, who passed away on January 14, 2026, at the age of 62, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Lisa Antoinette Epting; his parents, Elizabeth Epting and Edward Lofton; and his siblings, Frank Epting, Essie Epting, Sylvia Thomas and Sheba Epting.
He is survived by: his sons, Marvin Jr. and Marcus Terrell Epting; his grandsons, Marvin Epting III, Elijah Epting and Amar'e Epting; his daughter-in-law Briana Epting; and his siblings, Jerome Epting (Ruby), Christopher Epting, Jennifer Epting and Lilian Epting. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
