She was predeceased by: her father Jack (Barbara Thomas). She is survived by: her husband David Cox; her children, Zachary and Cassandra Cox; her stepdaughter Nicole Cox; her mother Barbara Thomas; and her siblings, Susie Stocking (Curtis), Sally Ivory, Nancy McLaughlin, Debbie Geerts (Ben) and John Thomas (Barb). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Patty's name to the UC Davis, Division of Infectious Diseases, whose care supported her throughout her illness (Infectious Diseases Research Fund).
