He was predeceased by: his parents, Bennie Lye and Helen Lye (Larson); and his brothers, James and Donald. He is survived by: his friend Lynn Eastman; his sons, Andrew John (Alvina) of Ottawa, KS and Christopher Edward (Beth) of Chicago, IL; his wife Ruth; his sister Gloria (D'Wayne) of Parker, SD; and his grandchildren, Ben Lye, Violet Lye, Timothy and Cassandra Gomez. He is also survived by many nephews, nieces, and friends.
