He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Harvey Mason and Barbara Hedwig Florian Mason; his stepfather J. I. Leigh; his brothers, Delmar Mason and Dale Mason; his brother-in-law Bill Wells; his in-laws, Glen, Mary Krause, Doris and Clark Dunlap; his stepdaughter Monica Brown; and his niece Sara Churchill.
He is survived by: his wife Pam; his children, Cindy (Bill) of Akron, Bob (Danielle) of Castle Rock and Ann of Parker; his grandchildren, Rory (Jamie), Mariah (Blane), Riley (Courtney) and Madison; his great grandchildren, Raegan, Alexandra, Liam, Aurora, Gabriel, Nolan and Macie; and his sisters-in-law, Sidney Wells, Sheryl Mason and Linda Mason of Akron.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Bowin Funeral Home (175 W 3rd St, Akron, CO 80720). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the First Presbyterian Church of Akron (282 Ash Ave, Akron, CO 80720).
Memorial donations may be made to the Washington County 4-H, to benefit the shooting sports program or to Mercy Ships.
