She was predeceased by : her husband Edwin; her son Robert; her parents, Henry and Hazel; her siblings, Winnabeth James, Charles and Keith Schwartz; and her brother-in-law K. W. James.

She is survived by : her children, Patricia Brown and Scott Brown of Alamosa, CO..
