He is survived by: his wife Bernice Lucero of Alamosa, CO; his stepchildren, Bruce Salazar of Pueblo, CO and Maria Salazar of Pueblo, CO; his brother Ron Lucero; his cousin Joe Martinez; his grandchildren, Britt Zappanti (Mike) of Elizabeth, CO, Ron Lopez (Christina) of Alamosa, CO, Bruce Salazar II of Pueblo, CO, Josh Salazar of Pueblo, CO, Josieana Trancoso (Daylan) of Aurora, CO and Kasen McMillan (Rubee); his great grandchildren, Lilliani Morris, Faith Salazar, Dre Lopez, Shiloh Shaffer and Kaylani Kates; and his siblings-in-law, Ronnie Vigil, Manuel Vigil, Patrick Vigil (Connie), Kenneth Vigil, Jeanie Archuleta (Tony), Marie Vigil (Lee), Kathy Muniz, Diane Pacheco, Debbie Daily (Byron) and Emily Vigil.
A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church (715 Fourth St, Alamosa, CO 81101).
