With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Salomon Lopez (Alamosa, Colorado), who passed away on February 1, 2024 at the age of 89. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Salomon Lopez to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Jose Simon Lopez and Rebecca Ruybal Lopez; and his wife Della Romero Lopez. He is survived by : his niece Rose Vialpando; his granddaughter Eileen; his siblings-in-law, Wilma Duran (Ross), Dorthy Valdez, La Jara, Gloria (Glen) and Donald Romero (Bernadette) of Antonito; and his sons, Toby, Rev. Anthony and Ronnie.

Salomon was honored a few years ago with a lifetime achievement award for his contributions to the keeping of the traditions of the folk and Spanish music passed through generations.
