He is survived by: his wife Rose Marie Ruiz; his son John Ruiz; his sisters, Toni Caldwell of Antonito, Veronica Howell (Dave) of Greeley and Val Duran (Al) of Alamosa; and his siblings' children, Tamara Samora (Gabe) of Del Norte, Amber Mascarenas (Matt) of Antonito, Jerrod Howell of Greeley and Brandon Jiron of Antonito. He is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
