He was predeceased by: his siblings, Flossie Gardine (Jensen), Roy (Hildur Gardine), Earl (Viola Gardine), Harry (Phyllis Gardine), Ruth Dodson and Ruby (Bill Richardson); and his brother-in-law Leland Schneider.
He is survived by: his son Randal (Rosa) of Arvada; his grandchildren, Matthew Gardine (Lea), Shelley Schneider (Matthew) and Lia Peak (Chris); his great grandchild Emelia; his grandchildren, Owen and McKenna; and his sister Delores Schneider of Holdrege. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends.
A memorial has been established in Al's honor, and kindly suggested to the family for later designation.
