I had a great experience collaborating with him at the Innovation Center, which was a genuine pleasure in itself, but it was also wonderful to see how he interacted with students, modelling not only a thirst for learning, but also good citizenship and authentic concern and caring for others. It was a such a privilege to work with Gene!”

“Gene was my teacher, mentor, friend and neighbor. He inspired me so deeply, and he very meaningfully helped shape me into the human I am today. He taught me how to believe in myself, how to be a critical thinker, and how to ask for support. I carry him in my heart everywhere I go, and in every step I take towards my future. Inspirational is not a strong enough word. I cherish the lessons I learned from him, and all the memories we shared. I am so so grateful to have known such a wonderful man.”
