He was predeceased by: his parents, Carol George Gilbert and Adah Groves Gilbert. He is survived by: his wife Janet F. Gilbert; his children, Chad Gilbert (Kristy Collette), Tim Gilbert (Samantha Munoz), Todd Gilbert (Irene Tan Gilbert) and Erin Gilbert (Derek Williams); and his father-in-law Charles Wiseman. He is also survived by five grandchildren.
