He was predeceased by : his father Howard R. Vasina. He is survived by : his mother Dorothea Vasina; his wife Heather; his children, Victoria, Vincent and Veronica; and his brothers, Brian, Scott and John. He is also survived by four cats.

He was also involved with the Archdiocese of Denver's Catholic Committee on Scouting, where he was honored with the St. George Emblem for significant and outstanding contributions to the spiritual development of Catholic youth in Scouting.
