He was predeceased by: his parents, Lee Duran and Elva Duran. He is survived by: his wife Barbara; his daughters, Debbie Griego (Tim) and Michelle Sedillo (John); and his grandchildren, Nick Griego, Samantha Griego, Mariah Ayala, John Sedillo Jr. and Sabrina Cummings. He is also survived by 7 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, brothers, sisters, nephews and nieces.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Olinger Crown Hill Mortuary in the Pavilion of Reflection (7777 W 29th Ave, Wheat Ridge, CO 80033). A reception will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Olinger Crown Hill Mortuary Heritage Hall (7777 W 29th Ave, Wheat Ridge, CO 80033). A committal service will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Fort Logan National Cemetery (4400 W Kenyon Ave, Denver, CO 80236).
