She was predeceased by: her parents, Bedford Bird and Grace Bird; her brother Terrell Bird; and her brother-in-law Tapie Rohm. She is survived by: her husband Fred Spong; her children, Stephanie Spong (Tim Stroh), Timothy Spong (Leslie), Susan Sprong and Alexander Spong (Tarali); her grandchildren, Mason Spong, William Spong, David Spong, Virginia Spong, John Spong, Alexander Dixon, James Dixon, Victoria Dixon, Katherine Dixon, Camille Dixon and Claire Lindsey; her sisters, Patricia Vainio (Vilie) and Karen Rohm; and her sister-in-law Patricia Bird. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
