She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Droste and Dena Droste; her brother Fred E. Droste; her husband Arnold Birkenkamp; and her granddaughter Kate Birkenkamp.

She is survived by: her children, Ray Birkenkamp (Kris) of St. Paul, MN, Dean Birkenkamp (Susan Jones) of Boulder, CO, Lynn Ramey (Don) of Bailey, CO and Marcy Birkenkamp (Kevin Wood) of Brighton, CO.; her grandchildren, Beth Tagliareni of Kallispell, MT, Zach Ramey of Littleton, CO, Danny Ramey of Arvada, CO, Juliana Birkenkamp and Maya Birkenkamp of Boulder, CO.; and her great grandchildren, Peter, Arya, Luca and Annika.

The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Mrs. Birkenkamp may be directed to Litchfield Veterans Memorial Gardens or Lutheran Hour Ministries.
