Alta Swanson Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Alta Swanson of Aurora, Colorado, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 24, 2025 at the age of 102. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Hans Peter Jorgen Abelseth (Sally Amanda Larsen) and Ralph; her son Brett G. Swanson; her siblings, Harold Abelseth, Gudrun Romness and Norman Abelseth; and her husband Norman.
She is survived by: her siblings, Fred Abelseth and Arleen Abelseth Silliman; her son Hal Swanson; and her grandchildren, Eric, Kyle, Ryan, Miguel and Aaron. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers please consider a donation in her memory to the American Red Cross or to The Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Wichita, Kansas.
