He was predeceased by: his parents, Inis Barnes (Whitehead) and Clarence Ellis Barnes; his wife Jacqueline Josephine Nelson (Jo); his siblings, Charlie Barnes and Wilma Gregory (Barnes); and his daughter-in-law Cynthia June Barnes (Koenig).
He is survived by: his sons, Freddie Eugene Barnes, Jr. (Patricia) of Aurora, CO and Douglas Leroy Barnes of Aurora, CO.; his grandchildren, Brooke Cao (Barnes), Brittney O'Neill (Barnes), Courtney Throgmorton (Barnes) and Tyler Barnes; and his great grandchild Grappa.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Compassus Hospice in honor of Freddie are welcomed.
