With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Jason Vincent Metsala of Aurora, Colorado, born in Denver, Colorado, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 1, 2025 at the age of 28. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Anne Metsala and Michael Shaw; his daughter Parker Metsala; his siblings, Amanda Metsala, Spencer Metsala, Caroline Metsala, Elliana Metsala, Louie Sherman, Finn Sherman, Raif Sherman, Josh and Holly Freeman; and his siblings' children, Omari Metsala Young, Alexis, Avayah and Giada Whitaker.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Risen Christ Catholic Parish (3060 S Monaco St Pkwy, Denver, CO 80222). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A committal service will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Olinger Hampden Mortuary, Cremation & Cemetery (8600 E Hampden Ave, Denver, CO 80231).
