With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Julie Rubin of Aurora, Colorado, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 11, 2025 at the age of 72. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert'Tom' Nickel and Pauline Nickel (Mintun); her sisters-in-law, Diane Rubin, Lana Nickel and Barbara Blaine; her sibling's children, Patty Harris and Alex Woollen; her great-niece Ashley Krause (Chuck Black); and her pet Hawkeye.
She is survived by: her husband Stuart Rubin; her siblings, Bob Nickel (Zoee) of Littleton, CO, Sue Woollen (Ron) of Wilcox, NE, Dan Nickel (Diane) of Lincoln, NE, Mary Harris (Phil) of Scottsbluff, NE, Deb Osborn (Josh) of Axtell, NE and Diane Ketelsen (Jim) of Seward, NE; her brother-in-law Howard Rubin of Las Vegas, NV; and her cousins, Jean, Monica and Chuckie Black (Myla Ferguson). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, grand nieces and nephews and grand grand nephews.
A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 4:00 PM at the All Saints Catholic Church (1204 Logan St, Holdrege, NE 68949). A wake will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at the Sue and Ron Woollen's Home.
