He is survived by: his friend Jade; his parents, Annabelle L. Hopkins-Grossmann (George) and Gary D. Hopkins (Maria); his brother Tyler W. Moffitt (Meagan); his nephews, Sterling and Julien Moffitt; his grandmother Valerie Hopkins-Smith; his uncle Stephen Hopkins (Helen); his cousin George Hopkins; and his stepsisters, Sole and Lola.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Pierce's honor to the Colorado Wolf and Wildlife Center.
