He was predeceased by: his wife Viola Ruth Malsbury of Georgetown; his son Robert Donovan; and his grandson Michael Eric Malsbury. He is survived by: his son Richard Malsbury; his daughter-in-law Judy Malsbury of Ringoes; his granddaughter Susan Malsbury (Ben Schwartz) of Maplewood, NJ; and his great grandchildren, Yana Schwartz and Elias Schwartz. He is also survived by friends and family.

“The Springer Clan had the great gift of being next door neighbors go 26 years. Bob and Ruth were a very special blessing to us and the neighborhood. My husband affectionately called Bob “ The Mayor of East Bates Circle “ as he watched over all of the close neighbors. Bob and Ruth hosted BBQ’s in their beautiful yard and created a warm community among us. They are very missed and I feel blessed to have known them. A beautiful couple.”
