He is survived by: his wife Priscilla James of Aurora, CO; his siblings, Carol Clark (Cornelius) of Massillon, OH and Lisbon James of Massillon, OH; his son Derek James of Rancho Cucamonga, CA; his stepson Dimples Thomas-Lyons of Pueblo, CO; his daughter Michelle Clopton of North Blair, SC; his in-laws, Percy Payton of Denver, CO, Paul Johnson (Sharlene Johnson) of Cheyenne, WY, Linda Wiggins of Canton, OH, Earnestine Johnson of Denver, CO and Ella Wallace (Leapolian) of Mobile, AL; his grandchildren, Stacy James-Shadd (Eric) of Rancho Cucamonga, CA, Derek James Jr. (Japan), Meladie Lowe (Justin) of Denver, CO and Derrick Clopton II (Katy) of Parker, CO; and his goddaughter Dominique Harlan of Aurora, CO. He is also survived by his eight great-grandchildren.
