He was predeceased by: his parents, Judith Lynn McGruder and Gerald "Mack" McGruder. He is survived by: his wife Dianna McGruder; his daughter Cassondra McGruder-Canuette; his son-in-law John Canuette; his granddaughter Charlotte Canuette; his sister Kimberly McGruder-Gonzalez; and his nephew Nicholas Breeden.
