Born in Galveston, Texas, Anne was the beloved daughter of A.C. Freeman and Dorothy Zorns. She grew up alongside her little brother, Ace Freeman, sharing a meaningful family bond throughout her life. From an early age, Anne carried a caring spirit, strong sense of family, and warmth that would become the foundation of the life she built and the love she gave so freely to others.

Anne’s life was defined by tenderness, dedication, quiet strength, and a bright spirit that made ordinary days extraordinary.

Anne was a devoted mother to her three sons, David, Daniel, and DJ, and her boys were always the center of her heart. Being a mother was one of Anne’s greatest joys and proudest accomplishments. She poured herself completely into raising her sons with unwavering love, encouragement, patience, and steadfast support. Whether offering guidance during difficult moments, celebrating their successes, or simply making sure they always felt safe and cared for, Anne’s love was constant and unconditional. She created a home filled with warmth, laughter, traditions, and the comfort of knowing family always came first. Her sons knew her as their fiercest protector, biggest supporter, and the steady heart of the family. Anne always dreamed of having a daughter, and later in life she was deeply grateful to gain two beloved daughters-in-laws, Kristen and Kayla, whom she loved and cherished as her own. Through every stage of life, Anne’s devotion to her family never wavered.

Anne found her true love in James Christian, and together they shared a partnership rooted in deep affection, laughter, and unwavering devotion. Married in Boulder, Colorado, on James’s birthday — November 18, 1983 — they built a life filled with adventure, shared passions, and enduring companionship. Even after decades together, they affectionately called each other “boyfriend” and “girlfriend,” a reflection of the playful romance and genuine friendship that never faded between them. Their love was evident to everyone around them — steady, joyful, and full of warmth.

Together they cared for a beautiful historic homestead that reflected their creativity, hard work, and shared vision. Anne especially found peace and fulfillment outdoors, tending her lush flower gardens and fruit trees with patience and care. She delighted in the birds and squirrels that visited daily and found beauty in the changing seasons, often creating little moments of joy and comfort for those around her. Their home became a gathering place filled with warmth, laughter, nature, and love — a true reflection of the life they built side by side — filled with wonderful home cooking, cherished holiday traditions, and countless fond family moments centered around togetherness, celebration, and love.

James introduced Anne to the world of motorsports, and she embraced it wholeheartedly. Through the Sports Car Club of America, Anne volunteered countless hours and rose through the officiating ranks, becoming deeply respected and beloved within the racing community. Her generosity, dedication, attention to detail, and joyful spirit left a lasting impression on the many friends she made through the sport they shared together.

Later in life, Anne experienced one of her greatest joys: becoming “Nana” to Colton, Brynlee, and Zion. She and James lavished their grandchildren with patient guidance and boundless affection, teaching them new skills, sharing stories and traditions, and creating a warm, playful home where curiosity and kindness flourished. Anne never missed an opportunity to cheer them on — whether at theater performances, tournaments, meets, or games — always present with applause, encouragement, comforting hugs, and unconditional love. Her steady presence nurtured confidence, joy, and cherished memories that will remain in their hearts forever.

Anne leaves behind family and friends who will forever carry her kindness, laughter, faithful love, and generous spirit in their hearts. For those who knew her, Anne’s legacy lives on in the countless family memories she created, the traditions she lovingly carried forward, the laughter shared around crowded tables, and the unwavering love and encouragement she gave so freely.
