She was predeceased by: her parents, Morris Whitaker and Arlene Abernathy. She is survived by: her husband Michael Herdman; her son Dr. Trent Herdman (Auckland); her daughter-in-law Dr. Justine Zhang; her grandson Wendell Herdman Zhang; and her sister Roxi Whitaker.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 3rd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Kristan Funeral Home & Cremation Service (219 W Maple Ave, Mundelein, IL 60060). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, December 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Ascension Catholic Cemetery (1920 Buckley Rd, Libertyville, IL 60048). A burial was held on Wednesday, December 3rd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
