He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Abeyta and Nester Abeyta (Vigil). He is survived by: his daughter Benita Smith (Jason); his grandson Logan Smith; his siblings, Jim Abeyta (Jessica) and Barbara Abeyta; and his niece Jamie Abeyta (Chris Nay).
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 3rd 2026 from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church (715 Cabrini Dr, Lafayette, CO 80026). A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, November 3rd 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Tri-City Elks Lodge 525 (525 Main St, Louisville, CO 80027).
