He was predeceased by: his mother Carol. He is survived by: his wife Amber Midgley; his son Nick Midgley; his father Alvin Rees Midgley; and his siblings, Christopher Midgley and Deborah Lawrence.

COVID officially brought them together under one roof, and they were happily married in 2023.
