He was predeceased by: his parents, James E. Kirkmeyer and Elvira "Billie" Howard; his brother James E. Kirkmeyer Jr.; and his son Bryan L. Kirkmeyer. He is survived by: his wife Bernice Salamonski; his sons, Duane C. Kirkmeyer and Gregory Kirkmeyer (Mary); his grandchildren, Clayton Kirkmeyer, Katee Pevler (Randy), Caroline Maxwell (Casey) and Gabrielle Maxwell Kirkmeyer; his great grandchildren, Amelia, Preston, Paxton, Cayden, Parker, Cutter and Caine; and his siblings, Jo-Ann Frick, Shayla Toledo, Sharla Castro (Eddie) and Shadron Walton (Peggy). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
