She was predeceased by: her parents, Rev. Emilio Mares and Grace Mares (Santos A. Garcia); her close friends, Ralph Mendez and Pablo Rodriguez; her sons, Ted Garcia and Buddy Troncoso; her grandsons, Nathan Garcia, Sr. and Josh Garcia; her great great grandchild Alexandra Garcia; and her brother Larry Mares.
She is survived by: her siblings, William Mares, Ruth Dominguez and Connie Buyse; and her children, Santos Garcia (Lilly), Berta Mendias, Billie Garcia, Tracy Trujillo (Bill), Lisa Ramirez and Jody Garcia (Cathy). She is also survived by 23 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren, and one great-great granddaughter.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 17th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Tabor Funeral Services Chapel (75 S 13th Ave, Brighton, CO 80601). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, June 18th 2025 at 1:30 PM at 14241 N 107th St, Longmont, CO 80504.
