George Covington Obituary
It is with sadness that the passing of George Covington in Broomfield, Colorado is shared. George, born on September 12, 1927 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, passed away on August 29, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
George will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around him. Friends and family will honor George by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence he had in their lives. Though George is no longer present, the bonds he created and the experiences shared will endure. George’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew him.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Sandford Covington and Lucile Covington; his brother Doug; and his son Scott Covington. He is survived by: his wife Charlotte Ann Covington; his children, Mark (Nancy Covington), Lori Buderus (Amy) and Max Klassen; and his sister Jean Tabor. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 3:30 PM at the Broomfield Community Center (280 Spader Way, Broomfield, CO 80020).
