He was predeceased by: his parents, Aldro Thomas and Melva Thomas; his siblings, Deane and Kay; his siblings-in-law, Nick Nice, Arlyn Fuerst and Bonnie Fuerst; and his nephews, Casey Nice and Jeremy Fuerst.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Thomas; his son Jason Thomas (Melissa) of Westminster; his grandchildren, Sydney and Bryce; his son Brian Thomas (Katie) of Lafayette; his grandchildren, Carson and Aliana; his sister Beverly Nice of Boscobel, Wisconsin; and his siblings-in-law, Nancy Thomas of Cobb, Wisconsin, Curt Nodolf of Milton, Wisconsin, Dick Fuerst of Kearney, Nebraska and Carolyn Fuerst of Lakeville, Minnesota.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Lutheran Church of Hope (925 Jordan Creek Pkwy, West Des Moines, IA 50266).
