He was predeceased by : his wife Rosemary. He is survived by : his children, Bruce Wertman (Jennifer) of Broomfield, CO, Ann McBee (Sandy) of Chesterfield, MI, Al Wertman of Canon City, CO and Kathy McBee (Boyd) of Bradenton, FL. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests any donations be made in his memory to the Humane Society of Canon City or to any Police Officers Association.
